Banana Porridge Print

This tasty and satisfying breakfast is sure to keep you going until lunch. Oats are an excellent source of soluble fibre which can help reduce cholesterol as part of a healthy low fat diet.
INGREDIENTS

3 tablespoons of porridge oats
300ml soya or skimmed milk
1 mashed banana
Sprinkle of cinnamon

METHOD
  1. Place 3 tablespoons of oats in a non-metallic bowl
  2. Add 300ml of semi-skimmed or soya milk and stir
  3. Cook in a microwave for about 2 ½ minutes
  4. Mash half a ripe banana in a bowl with a pinch of cinnamon
  5. Stir the banana mix into the oats and cook for a further 2 minutes
  6. Top with slices of the remaining banana and serve
