Fibre reduces the risk
of bowel cancer - TRUE



Recent studies have shown that cancer is less common in people who eat lots of fibre. For example, one study found that people who had a high fibre diet had 40 % lower risk of bowel cancer.

Foods that are high in fibre include: wholemeal foods, foods containing bran, and some fruit and vegetables
